When clients search for "Opticians" they get a ton of results. 

Just look at this section of Manhattan and the huge number of opticians on a small area, some side by side.

Same for Ophthalmologist, eyecare, eyeglasses, sunglasses. You name it.

This industry screams "COMPETITION" that's why having the same strategy as everyone else screams "LOSER" and is destined to fail.

That's why a better approach is a must

A better approach makes your business "king of the jungle" and makes your competitors.

The approach we use is called: The Perfect Giveaway Campaign πŸŽ–

What makes it "perfect"?

The fact that everyone wins a prize, even the losers...

Let me show you how...

Step #1: Create a limited time giveaway that attracts many people

The more people your giveaway attracts, the more sales you will make on the short term (7-14 days) and on the long run.

That's why it's important to run a "general product" giveaway.

Instead of giving away something like digital retinal photography give away a pair of sunglasses.

Make sure you always test different approaches for men and women.

And keep it simple - you want people to register to win, not to think too much about this.

Facebook has this option that allows you to target specific locations.

Not many marketers use it, but for local businesses this is a goldmine!

For example, if your store is on Oxford St, London, you would target people 3 miles around your shop, like this:

This way, by being very targeted, you can get the most of the Ad Spent because you want to show your Ad to people likely to come to the store, not to everyone in a country.

Step #2: Register all the participants (your leads) in your page's chatbot 

Once people hit the button to register for the giveaway, send them to your page's chatbot.
That's in Facebook Messenger, in case you were wondering.

Using a chatbot is important for many reasons:

  • the communication is instant with the leads
  • the open rate for your messages is huge compared to emails (over 85% of messages are read compared to 15% of emails)
  • the Messenger Platform does not have a SPAM button - this means that ALL messages are delivered.

Once they hit the button to register for the Giveaway, they get a message in Messenger that looks like this:

Step #3: Draw the winner and Give all "non-winners" a special prize

First, extract all the participants on a spreadsheet and record a video with the draw, using - the random numbers generator - and post this video on your Facebook Page.

This way people will see that the draw is legitimate and that they had a real chance to win.

We want to keep everyone happy so you should think of a "consolation prize" that you can give away to everyone that didn't win the big prize.
